WHY THE NEW NAME AND TAGLINE?
Since I became the head blogger here, I wondered about the name in light of some of my emphasis areas I choose to talk about. I finally decided this week that it might be misleading to a reader if I kept it the same name and tagline. I was unsure how to change it. Finally, I came up with “Conflicted Libertarian” to show the conflict between my interest in Governor Jindal and Congressman Paul. I am more of a libertarian (although with social conservative tendencies) but I did not realize that fully until Cong. Paul ran for President in 2008.
Why the sports stuff? I like sports and thought it would be a useful diversion from a steady dose of politics. This is also a great year to be a Saints fan and an Alabama alum.
If a reader has what may be a better idea for title or tagline, please suggest it.
