Who Will Bobby Jindal Be in 2012?
Look Into the Future
Fast forward with me to 2012, the year the next U.S. election will be held. Who will Bobby Jindal, current Governor of Louisiana, be at that time? We know who he’s been in the past, and who he is now, but who will he be in 2012? What kind of man will he be? Let’s take a look:
Age – Bobby Jindal was born on June 10, 1971. He is currently 37 years old, the youngest current governor in the U.S. In 2012, he will be 41 years old. If he were to run for President and win he would be the youngest person ever to hold the office.
Governor of Louisiana – Bobby Jindal is currently the Governor of Louisiana. The Louisiana Governor holds office for four years. The next election will be in 2011. Therefore, in 2012, Bobby Jindal would be the Governor of Louisiana serving in his second term, provided he runs for and wins that election. Which will be no easy task in Louisiana. He had a dominant victory in 2003, but we’ve seen what natural disasters and corrupt politics have done to that state in the past. We will have to watch an see what happens. Subscribe by reader or by email.
Record – Since Bobby Jindal is a state governor now, he will primarily only focus on matters of the state over the next four years. His political record in 2012 will largely reflect what he’s done as governor of Louisiana. His U.S. Congressional career (2004-2008) is complete at this point and that record will remain unchanged.
Experience – What Jindal lacks in record over the next four years he will likely make up in experience. Being the governor of Louisiana is no easy task. Jindal will likely have to prove himself against another natural disaster threat, as well as, against the corrupt politics of Louisiana. There’s a great deal of opportunity for Jindal to showcase his leadership in Louisiana.
Bobby Jindal in 2012
So there you have it. In 2012, Bobby Jindal will be 41, a highly experienced (potentially) second-term state governor, holding a U.S. legislative voting record largely unchanged from 2003. Primed to be President? Let me know what you think in the comments below.

I wonder how Jindal supporters will defend the fact that Jindal signed legislation into law that increased the burden of proof in ethics cases (making it harder to convict people of ethics violations).
I wonder how Jindal supporters will defend the fact that Jindal balked at increased transparency on the Governor’s office (and idea suggested by a Republican legislator) and that at the end of the legislative session, Jindal signed a bill into law that removed the Governor’s office from the open records law. Jindal’s office is now the least transparent Governor’s office in the country.
So much for ethics reform.

Jindal in 2012 would be great. My only concern is that Obama may be unbeatable. With that, it might be better to throw up a Republican sacrificial lamb (Huckabee? Romney?) and let them lose, setting the stage for a Jindal presidency in 2016. Ideally, 2012 would be the year, but its too early to say how Obama will be perceived by America then.

Jindal and his handlers are smart enough to know when he should run for President. If the Democrats get more gains in the 2010 midterm elections then there is no way Jindal would run in 2012.
Jindal would need solid Republican gains in both houses to even consider a run in 2012.
Of course, this all assumes that Jindal wins in 2011.

I don’t know a whole lot about Mr. Jindal, but I like what I do know. 4 years is a long time away, and we don’t know what the political landscape will look like. But I hope whoever runs will be able to personify and articulate true conservatism.

Quite frankly, I think people always talking about when the world ends is just pathetic. Live your life to the fullest while you still have to time.

Thanks for coming to and reading my blog, Watch Avatar. Please come again. I would answer this comment in the words of St. Peter nearly 2000 years ago:
“First of all, you must understand that in the last days socffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, ‘Where is this “coming” he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation. But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens and earth are reseerved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.” II Peter 3:3-7 (NIV)
Peter also says that “The is not close keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance.” II Peter 3:9 (NIV)
I do not know where you are at in your walk with God, if any, however, the Bible is clear: Jesus is coming again and will judge the living and the dead and make all things right. Trust in Him today.

Pretty wonderful entry, very informative information. Never thought I’d find the facts I need right here. I’ve been hunting everywhere in the internet for a while now and had been starting to get irritated. Fortunately, I came onto your internet site and got precisely what I was struggling to find.

I agree. Biobby Jindal is an amazing leader with a record of accomplishment. He can change the entire track of the GOP. He is smart and savvy. Now I also admire Cong. Paul for his frankness and truth about the crises affecting our nation. If Jindal and Paul could work together, it would be a momentous event for this nation. Of course, as a follower of Jesus Christ, we must not place our trust in any human political leader.
Thanks for waving through all the spam and commenting!
