Jindal reports third Fortune 500 company comes to Louisiana!
The Monroe News-Star reportsthat CenturyTel, a Monroe company, bought EMBARQ and this new corporationwill stay in Louisiana and be renamed CenturyLink. The Governor was quoted as saying:
“CenturyLink will be recognized as one of the country’s leading telecommunications companies — based right here in Monroe, Louisiana,” Jindal said. “Now that the merger is complete, CenturyLink also will become Louisiana’s third Fortune 500 company, joining Entergy and The Shaw Group.”
