CLOSER TO THE RIGHT CALL ON COLTS
It appears that people did speak out about the debacle in Indianapolis last week.
“It is something we’ll look at,” Goodell said Sunday. “We heard the fans loud and clear. It’s something our competition committee has looked at in the past, but we’re going to ask our competition committee to look at it again in the future. We want every game to be competitive.”
Now NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, a man I admire very much for cleaning up the league, will review this issue. I do think he did not quite get it yet. The simple solution is to treat an undefeated season as reason not to rest your starters unless it is a blow out or there is a compelling reason approved in advance by the Commissioner.
PS: Ask the Houston Texans if the Colts-Jets game affected the playoff picture and thus the integrity of the game.

Man, awesome Pack vs. AZ game, best game of the playoffs so far. But, that was kinda BS how it ended, total facemask.

Thanks for coming, Chui. I agree it was a strange play and should have been reviewed. I also have followed the Packers since I lived in northern Michigan as a kid in late 60s and I met Bart Starr in the Chicago airport once and was a classmate of his son, Bart Starr, Jr. at Alabama (ROLL TIDE ROLL!) Law School. Of course the Saints are my favorite team – no flip-flopping at this blog!

Hello. I happened upon your website while I was looking for something else. While I don’t agree with everything you posted we do have almost the same thoughts for the most part. I have bookmarked your blog and may visit again in the near future to see what you’re talking about in 2010!

Thank you Background Checks:
If everybody agreed with me on every point the world would be boring (It might be better off but very boring!). I might even disagree with me on some points just to see what happens! Challenge assumptions! Please feel free to come back and comment. Constructive criticism on how to make it a better blog is great!
